Aldby Park is a stunning marquee wedding site based in the rolling North Yorkshire countryside.

Benefitting from scintillating views, glorious grounds and gardens and neatly tucked away in a secluded village, Aldby Park is a hidden gem just waiting to be discovered.

The Georgian listed family home, built in 1726, provides the perfect back drop for any marquee wedding with the choice of two beautifully manicured lawns certain to leave your guests in awe. You will also have full access to the delightful gardens, surrounded by an intriguing dry moat, whose elevated position provide stunning views over the River Derwent and beyond.

As a ‘site only’ marquee wedding venue Aldby Park provides a pristine canvas to paint your perfect wedding, allowing utilisation of your own suppliers or choosing from an extensive list of recommended local companies. Access to the venue will be allowed for five days dedicating time to put those personal touches to your wedding venue while your dream marquee is erected.

Aldby Park is just a short stroll from St Johns Church where a licensed ceremony can be held. Alternatively our ‘lion cage’ area is a tranquil location for an outdoor blessing with a personal touch. The adjoining, enclosed reception lawn is the ideal spot for welcome drinks before your guests make their way through to the main lawn where garden games can be played before sitting for your wedding breakfast and evening party.

Amplified music is permitted until 1am with the bar also licensed until this time.

The small and secluded village of Buttercrambe, located in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire, is only a short distance from Stamford Bridge and the larger hubs of York, Malton and Pocklington.

Hosting only eight weddings per year, viewings are highly recommended at this much sought after site.

Included in the price of hiring Aldby Park is a free pay-as-you-go bar set up from our sister company Louisianna’s Mobile Bars, normally worth £250.

Fully staffed with a highly experienced team of cocktail bartenders and licensed until 1am the bar includes draught and bottled lager, real ale, cider, wine, prosecco, spirits, soft drinks and a tailored cocktail menu. With eight bars to choose from they have a set up to fit every style of wedding.

Louisianna’s can also provide a very competitively priced wedding drinks package including a cocktail on arrival, table wine, table water and prosecco to toast at just £14.50 plus VAT per person.

Can we choose our own suppliers?

Most certainly! With Louisianna’s Weddings, we love to offer the flexibility couples want when planning their dream wedding. We can definitely recommend our most trusted suppliers but the choice is ultimately yours. With all bookings, a free pay – as – you – go bar set up is included by Louisianna’s Mobile Bars and these are the only bar company allowed at this venue.

How do we book Aldby Park?

With only hosting eight weddings here per year, it is definitely worth booking early to avoid disappointment. Booking is simple. Once we confirm your ideal date is available, we will send you a booking form. Once this is completed and the deposit is paid, your booking will be confirmed and the countdown will begin.

Do we have access to the stately home?

Unfortunately, there is no access to the stately home. This is still a family home but is still the perfect backdrop for those wedding photos.

Do we need to apply for a Temporary Events Licence?

No, this will all be taken care of by us.

Is there onsite accommodation at Aldby Park?

Although there is no onsite accommodation offered, there are a number of options close by. From quaint bed & breakfasts, luxury self catering properties, to unique glamping sites, you and your guests will not struggle to find somewhere to stay. Can we get married at Aldby Park?

There is a quaint village church just 100 yards from the gates of Aldby Park, leaving your guests with just a short wander across to your marquee reception. Alternatively we can host a blessing onsite in our ‘lion cage’ area.

What time can we party until?

We are able to serve drinks until 1am and the partying can go on until then with all guests to be offsite by 1.30am.

Are fireworks allowed?

Yes, we have no restrictions on fireworks at Aldby Park. We have seen some amazing fireworks displays here.

What are the best ways to get to and from Aldby Park?

Although Aldby Park is set in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside, it is only a short drive from York. Taxis & coaches are the most popular options with bus routes dropping off at nearby Stamford Bridge.

How long do we have the venue for?

We appreciate how much work goes in to setting up a marquee wedding so we offer Aldby Park as a five day site hire. This gives you and your suppliers plenty of time to make sure everything is perfect for the day of your wedding.
